On May 18, 2023, the Tapan Armenian Museum in Moscow hosted the press opening of a retrospective exhibition of works by artist Roman Ayvazyan entitled "Invincible Sun".
The project shows the path of the artist and the person, his way of rethinking the world at different times (life in Georgia, Armenia in the life of Roman, the collapse of the USSR and the search for a new life), and how this way is transformed over time.
The retrospective exhibition shows the artist's works during the period of his life and work from 1990 to 2023, which most vividly and at the same time characterize the artist from different angles.
The invited curator of the project, Yulia Sysalova, Vice-President of the Institute of Mediterranean Culture (Greece), member of the International Association of Art Critics, will specially come to the opening from Athens.
Roman Ayvazyan's works are in private collections and galleries around the world, since 2015 exhibition activity has been concentrated in Europe (Galerie am Maxmonument, Munich; Click Art Gallery, Milan; ArteVisione Gallery, Athens; Ozone Gallery, Badenweiler; Vinetart, Colmar).
